BAJEAL D1 Colorful Gaming Mouse

The light cycles through seven colours on its own — no software, no driver, nothing to configure. Plug it in and it does that, which at four dollars is the correct amount of ceremony.

Four keys, the fourth being a DPI switch behind the wheel that steps the cursor speed without a menu. The scroll wheel has a textured anti-skid ring so a thumb does not slip off it mid-scroll. At 113 mm it is the smaller of BAJEAL's two lit mice — its sibling the D11 is 124 mm — so it suits a smaller hand or a claw grip, and both weigh the same 110 g.
