Three dollars turns any car with an AUX socket into a Bluetooth one. It plugs into the 3.5 mm input, pairs with one touch, and plays from the phone — and because it has a microphone and CVC echo cancellation, it takes calls hands-free through the car speakers rather than just streaming music.

Bluetooth 5.0 with EDR and about ten metres of range, A2DP stereo, and up to eight hours on its own battery — or run it permanently from a USB charger. It remembers the last device and reconnects, and shuts itself off three minutes after the phone walks away. It works on home stereos and wired headphones too.
