Sifu - Nintendo Switch

A kung fu revenge story with a price on every defeat. The child of a murdered martial arts master sets out after the five people who killed their father, fighting through a fictional Chinese city with a style built on Bak Mei kung fu and more than 150 attacks.

Death is not the end, at first. A magical pendant brings you back, but older each time — hitting harder, with less health to spare — and when the pendant finally gives out, the next death is the last. Blocking fills your own structure gauge, a well-timed parry stuns an attacker, and the room itself is a weapon: bottles, poles and ledges to knock enemies over.

The Switch release includes the difficulty settings added after launch, among them Student for a gentler start. Single player, developed by Sloclap, with the physical edition from Microids.
