Sonic Mania - Nintendo Switch

Sonic back in two dimensions, drawn and played in the manner of the Mega Drive games. Classic zones such as Green Hill, Chemical Plant and Stardust Speedway come back remixed, new ones such as Studiopolis and Press Garden sit alongside them, and each hero moves differently: Sonic gets the new Drop Dash, Tails flies and swims, and Knuckles glides and climbs walls.

Seven Chaos Emeralds wait in the pseudo-3D special stages, and collecting them all unlocks the true ending; carry 25 rings or more past a checkpoint and a portal opens to the Blue Sphere bonus stages. Time Attack keeps an online leaderboard, and a split-screen competition mode lets two players race each other to the end of a zone.
