Sony PlayStation 2 Slim Console - Charcoal Black

The slimline redesign of the PlayStation 2, the best-selling games console of all time, in Charcoal Black with one DualShock 2 controller. It reads PS2 discs, most first-generation PlayStation games, DVD films, DVD-RW and +RW discs and audio CDs, so an old shelf of games and films plays on the one machine.

The DualShock 2 has twin analogue sticks, pressure-sensitive buttons and vibration. The front carries two controller ports, two memory card slots and two USB ports, and games save to a PS2 memory card. The back has a built-in network port and an optical digital audio output, and an infrared receiver takes a DVD remote.

This is a new PAL console, sold in its retail box, so it plays European-region (PAL) PS2 games; discs are region-coded. The contents list on the box: the console, the DualShock 2, an AV cable, a Euro-AV (SCART) plug, the power cord and printed materials. The AV cable fits a television’s red, white and yellow inputs.
